I really hate standing in line, and I especially dislike it when I'm tired from walking around all day. In spite of that we queued on a stairway for 45 minutes to get into Ryuen Restaurant, and I have to admit, it was worth it. The pork dumplings are famous, and all the food was excellent. I'm often disappointed with the atmosphere of Chinese restaurants, but Ryuen was really nice inside, and we were lucky to get a seat by a window overlooking Kusatsu Onsen's Yubatake ('hot water field'). The service was perfect too. It was a memorable meal for all the right reasons.

In Japan the long line is a sign of good quality... But I also hate to stand in line.
